The Warriors (2007) on the PlayStation Portable is a handheld port of Rockstar Games' critically acclaimed 3D beat-'em-up, originally released on PS2. Ported to the PSP by Rockstar Leeds, it translates the gritty 1970s New York street brawl mechanics onto portable hardware.

"Can You Dig It?"Based on Walter Hill's iconic 1979 cult-classic film, the game acts as both a prequel and a direct adaptation.  The first half explores the 3 months leading up to the legendary meeting in Van Cortlandt Park, showing how individual members joined The Warriors and established their home turf in Coney Island. The second half recreates the events of the film: framed for assassinating rival gang leader Cyrus, The Warriors must battle through 27 miles of enemy territory across New York City to return home alive.

Brutal Heavy-Brawling Engine: Features deep combo systems, wall-splatters, grapple-throws, ground stomps, counters, and weapons (pipes, 2x4s, baseball bats, broken bottles).  
Rage Mode: Dealing and taking damage fills a Rage Meter. When activated, your attacks become devastating, unblockable executions.  
Warchief Commands: Issue real-time tactical orders to fellow gang members using the D-Pad (Attack, Hold Position, Scatter, Watch My Back, Wreck Everything).

⭐ Short Review: One of the Best Ports on PSPThe GoodFull Console Integrity: Nothing was cut—all voice actors from the film, licensed 70s soundtrack, cutscenes, and extensive levels are intact.  No Split-Screen Friction: Wireless Ad-Hoc co-op allows two players to share the entire PSP display without the restrictive split-screen view of the original PS2 release.  The BadCamera Controls: Lacking a second analog stick, adjusting the camera requires holding button combinations, which takes practice during chaotic fights.
